INTRODUCTION
Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) is a potent growth factor that stimulates the proliferation of various epidermal and epithelial cells. EGF can bind to epidermal growth factor receptor (FGFR) and dimerizes with itself or with its homologs ErbB-2, ErbB-3, or ErbB-4 and consequently leading to activation of genes that regulate cell proliferation, angiogenesis, motility, and metastasis.
